Bordon as had an increasing problem in recent months with ‘The Forest Centre’ and ‘The Shed’ in particular becoming a focal point for calls for service. Problem solving plan developed with learning from best practice from elsewhere to try and tackle this problem head on. Increased patrols and working with partners to try and improve the offer for young people in the area.
SHOPLIFTING

Shoplifting is a widespread problem and the various business communities across East Hampshire were feeding back that they had low confidence in us to solve this problem. Review implemented as to how we deal with this crime type, and a new focus put on identifying and tackling offenders who travel into the area in particular in order to drive up solved rates and reduce commission rates which should rebuild public confidence.
SPEEDING

Speeding is a problem that is consistently raised by communities across East Hampshire as an important issue for them. We have merged various local priorities into one district priorities to try and ensure that ouR approach is as consistent and widespread as possible. Continued support of Community Speedwatch schemes, all district staff trained in use of the speed gun and working with RPOU are just some of the steps we have taken.
