I am Yozanne Richards and I am the Sergeant for the Bitterne North Area.

I have been employed by Hampshire Constabulary since 2007 and to date I have worked my entire career in Southampton.

I have worked in a variety of roles within the Force, however I am passionate about Neighbourhood Policing and strive to build positive working relationships with the community to prevent and reduce crime and disorder, protect our most vulnerable and to make life better and safer for everyone.

I provide clear direction to my team and our aim is to increase public trust and confidence by being a visible presence, to relentlessly pursue criminals and to put the victim at the heart of everything we do.

Your Local Bobby is the neighbourhood policing officer dedicated to your area.

They will identify threat, harm and risk to tackle local issues and protect the community. They will investigate local crimes and collect intelligence, working closely with partner agencies to identify the best problem-solving approach. They are supported by Neighbourhood Policing Teams, Neighbourhood Enforcement Teams, District Police Teams (response officers), Missing Locate Teams, Priority Crime Teams, local investigation teams and specialist functions investigating serious violence, child abuse and organised crime.

Expect your Local Bobby to be highly visible in the community, listening to your concerns and addressing root causes of crime. I am PCSO Thompson and I have been working for Hampshire Constabulary since 2016 and currently cover the Bitterne north area. I enjoy being out and about on patrol and speaking to local residents and shops within the community. This helps me gain a better understanding of what’s happening and how I can help the community feel safer.

My name is PCSO Lauren Thomas, I have been part of Hampshire Constabulary for about a year. My favourite part of this job is how different it is every day and how I get to do things that make a difference.
