Your local neighbourhood policing team
Every neighbourhood in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight has a dedicated neighbourhood policing team that works together with the local community and partners to: reduce crime and incidents, bring more offenders to justice, protect the vulnerable and tackle violence against women and girls, improve victim service and public confidence
Neighbourhood policing teams are led by senior police officers and include police officers, police community support officers (PCSOs), police staff and the Special Constabulary.
They aim to make communities safer through an approach that is focussed on engagement, offender management, safeguarding and problem solving.
You can receive regular updates from your local policing area by signing up to our community messaging system, Hampshire Alert. This allows residents to receive local information on incidents in or around their area.

Waterlooville has experienced an increase in ASB in recent months which has affected 3 main areas – Town centre inc Wellington Retail Park, Newlands / Berewood estate and Wecock.
Action taken:
District priority and problem solving plan created to tackle this issue by identifying and targeting the main penetrators, and working with community groups to improve youth provision in the area.

A long term district priority to make Leigh Park and in particular Greywell a safer place to live.
Action taken:
Tackling crime and criminality head on by targeting offenders, partnership working to improve available support and provision for other residents, and working with the local council to ensure all of our work is joined up and working towards a common goal.

A targeted approach to our activity on Hayling acknowledging that there is an increase in activity there over the summer.

Specific patrols aimed at hot spot locations, events of note and working more with partners. Refreshing and improving our social media approach to improve our visibility and share our progress
