A man has been arrested on suspicion of vehicle interference in Fleet after he was spotted on camera by the car owner who was in Argentina.
Officers received a report at 1.24am on 6 March that a man was seen on camera attempting to break into a car on Pipistrelle in Fleet.
The owner of the car was remotely viewing his Ring CCTV from Argentina when he saw the man outside his address.
He called police and officers immediately deployed to the area and found a man matching the description hiding in bushes on Emerald Avenue just after 2am.
A 38-year-old man from London was arrested on suspicion of vehicle interference and going equipped for theft of a motor vehicle.
He has been bailed with conditions, pending further enquiries.
