Officers have secured a partial closure order following reports of drug-related activity and anti-social behaviour in Basingstoke.
Earlier this month, Basingstoke Magistrates Court was presented with evidence of drug activity and ASB at the property on Aspen Way in Oakridge.
The partial closure order was granted, and it now means that no-one other than the person authorised on the court order will be allowed to enter or remain at the address for the next three months. If they do, they will be committing a criminal offence and can be arrested.
The order was obtained following partnership work with officers from the Basingstoke Neighbourhood Policing Team and the relevant housing association.
PS Karla Leese, from the Basingstoke Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “This address has been a blight on the local community, and I’m pleased to say, through the dedicated work of partners and local officers, that we have been able to secure a partial closure order.
“Applying for such an order takes a lot of work, but our officers will continue to look at all options available to us to combat anti-social behaviour and drug-related activity in our town.”
