Two people are due in court after an incident in Fareham where a man’s throat was cut.

At around 10pm on Sunday 14 June we received a report of a disturbance at an address at Beaumont Rise in Fareham. During the 999 call a 25-year-old man stated his throat had been cut.
Officers attended and the man was taken to hospital. He was discharged later that evening after being treated.
Enquiries at the scene indicated he had been assaulted with a kitchen knife.
As part of our investigation two people have been charged and have been remanded to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates Court today (Tuesday 16 June). Andrew Stone, 44, of Hamlet Way in Gosport will face a charge of attempted murder and Annalise Laura Cheshire, 31, of Beaumont Rise will face a charge of perverting the course of justice.
