A man is due to appear in court today after he was charged with a weapon offence in Basingstoke.
It comes after officers received a report that a man had a hammer and was making threats on Worting Road, near Attwood Close, at around 1am on Saturday 20 June.
Officers attended the scene and located a hammer, wrench and a sock which contained a padlock. A man was arrested at the scene.
Jamie Marks, 42, of Attwood Close, Basingstoke, has since been charged with possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.
He is due to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates Court today (22 June).
