Man, 40, charged with burglary in Waterlooville and Swanwick

A man has been charged as part of an investigation into two burglaries in Waterlooville and Swanwick.
Andrew Evan Smith, 40, of Walmer Road, Portsmouth, has been charged with two counts of burglary dwelling and theft.
It comes after officers received reports of break-ins at a property on Catherington Lane, Waterlooville, just before 2pm on Friday 12 June, and at a property on Swanwick Lane, Swanwick, at around 1pm on Wednesday 17 June. On both occasions, money and jewellery were stolen.
Smith has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Portsmouth Crown Court Monday 17 August.
