A man has been arrested on suspicion of arson after officers responded to reports of fires in Basingstoke in the early hours of this morning.
We were called at 3.50am today (7 January) to reports that fences had been set on fire near properties on Normanton Road and Jefferson Road in Oakridge.
The fires were put out by the fire service, and no injuries have been reported.
Officers attended the scene and arrested a 37-year-old man on suspicion of arson. He remains in custody while our enquiries continue.
