Officers investigating a report of sexually explicit messages sent online have charged a man.
We were called to an address in Alma Road, Southampton, after receiving reports that a man had been sending sexualised messages to a person online he believed was a child.
Following enquiries while the man was in custody, we have charged Adel Khalaf, of Alma Road, with attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child and attempting to cause a child to watch or look at an image of sexual activity.
The 40-year-old has been remanded in custody to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court today (February 3).
