A man has been jailed for 14 weeks after he breached a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) while attempting to steal from a car in Aldershot.
Leonard Jones, 39, of no fixed abode, attempted to steal items after gaining access to a car on St George’s Road East on 26 August. Nothing was stolen.
He also attempted to gain access to a car on Eddy Road on the same day.
The court also heard that Jones had breached a CBO after he was caught in Aldershot that day. The CBO, which banned him from entering Aldershot, was put in place in September 2023.
Jones appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates Court yesterday (2 September) and pleaded guilty to attempt theft from motor vehicle, vehicle interference and breaching a CBO.
He was jailed for a total of 14 weeks.
