Isle of Wight PC named as NPCC Response Officer of the Year 2025

An Isle of Wight Police Constable has received the prestigious honour of being chosen as the National Police Chiefs’ Council’s Response Officer of the Year 2025.

PC Greg Blais who works as part of the Isle of Wight’s District Policing Team was commended for an outstanding contribution to both his community and his colleagues, demonstrating a long-standing commitment to response policing.

Acting Chief Constable Matt Boyle, Response Policing Lead for the NPCC said: “PC Blais’ dedication, professionalism, and unwavering support for those he serves exemplify the very best of our profession.”

The NPCC Response Officer of the Year recognises outstanding response police officers for their professionalism, dedication, and continued commitment to keeping the communities they police safe.

Chief Constable of Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary Alexis Boon said: “PC Blais is a credit to the force, and we are proud to work alongside him.

“It is wonderful that his dedication and commitment has been recognised in this way; it is well and truly deserved. PC Blais reflects our force values of putting victims first whilst relentlessly pursing criminals and delivering exceptional local policing, to the highest of standards. I am proud to have him as a member of Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary.”

Superintendent for the Isle of Wight Rob Mitchell said: “PC Blais is a very highly regarded member of our island response team and has made an outstanding contribution over the years with relentless commitment to keeping our communities safe.
