A man has been charged after two bingo cash machines containing more than £8,500 were stolen from a bingo hall in Farnborough.
We were called to reports that a man had entered Bingo Godz on Queensmead on Tuesday 2 September and Wednesday 6 August.
It was reported that the man had used a pickaxe to smash a glass door and gain entry on both occasions. Each time, a bingo cash machine was stolen. It was later established that both machines contained more than £8,500 in cash.
Officers launched an investigation and made an arrest in connection with the reports.
James McNeill, 37, of Avondale, Ash Vale, has been charged with two counts of burglary other than dwelling with intent to steal. He is due to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates Court today (5 November).
