A man has appeared in court charged with assault and knife offences following an incident in Blackwater.
Officers were called at 1.27am on 19 April to a report that a group of men were fighting outside the parade of shops on London Road.
It was reported that one man had a knife and was making threats. Two men were assaulted during the altercation.
An investigation was launched, and officers made an arrest.
Okkes Yilmaz, 34, of London Road, Blackwater, has since been charged with:
• Common assault x 2
• Threaten a person with a blade / sharp pointed article in a public place x 2
• Possession of a knife blade / sharp pointed article in a public place
Yilmaz appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates Court on 19 August and was bailed with conditions to appear at Winchester Crown Court on 17 September.
