Four people have been arrested on suspicion of going equipped for burglary following a proactive stop on the M3 near Fleet in the early hours of this morning.
Officers stopped a black Vauxhall Astra on the southbound carriageway at around 1am on Friday 11 April.
Following a search of the vehicle, officers located a number of items, including bolt cutters, a sledge hammer, a hammer, a car jack and gloves. Due to suspicious circumstances at the scene, officers arrested four people.
A 21-year-old man from Dartford, a 20-year-old man from Dartford, a 17-year-old boy from Bexley and a 14-year-old boy from Dartford have been arrested on suspicion of going equipped for burglary.
They remain in custody while our enquiries continue.
