A prolific shoplifter has been jailed after we arrested her for thefts totalling more than £700.
Catherine Vine, 40, of Ash Close, Hythe, was charged with the incidents, which occurred between November 3 and December 12, this year.
Southampton Magistrates' Court heard meat, chocolate, coffee, advent calendars, sandwiches, cheese and washing products were among the items stolen.
The incidents took place at stores in Bridge Road, Johns Road and Victoria Road.
After being arrested in Southampton on December 13, she was charged with 10 counts of theft from a shop, one of attempted theft from a shop and one of obtaining services dishonestly.
Vine pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 16 weeks in prison last Thursday (December 14).
