Officers from the Operation Hawk Team at Southampton Central Police Station have charged a man with arson, burglary, four counts of attempted burglary, aggravated taking of a motor vehicle and driving without insurance.
Bradley Mottram, aged 18, of Verdon Avenue, Hamble-Le-Rice appeared before Southampton Magistrates Court today (March 16) to face the charges.
The charges come after a number of incidents were reported to us on Saturday 14 March between 11pm and midnight.
Namely, a car fire at Crystal Cars on Bullar Road, an attempted burglary at a home on Athelstan Road where a hammer was used to smash a window, two attempted burglaries at homes on Bullar Road, and another attempted burglary at a home on Athelstan Road.
Mottram has also been charged with a burglary at a home on Garfield Road where a Citroen C1 was stolen and then recovered by officers.
He will appear at Southampton Crown Court on April 17, 2020.
