We are appealing for witnesses and information following recent reports of car fires in Basingstoke.
Since Sunday 10 November, officers have received reports that nine vehicles had been set on fire in the west part of the town.
Officers have received reports that:
No injuries have been reported. After receiving these reports, officers have been carrying out extensive enquiries and extra patrols.
We are keen to hear from anyone who may have information which could help with our enquiries.
Were you in the areas at the times mentioned above? Did you witness any suspicious behaviour? Do you have any doorbell, dashcam or CCTV footage which could help our investigation?
Basingstoke Town Inspector Charlie Ilderton said: “We fully appreciate that these incidents have caused concern in the local community.
“However, I would like to reassure residents that we are taking these reports extremely seriously.
“Our officers are continuing to carry out a number of enquiries and we will be increasing our patrols to provide reassurance and to progress the investigation.
“We would like to hear from anyone who may have information, so if you have seen anything suspicious, or if you have footage which could help our enquiries, please get in touch.”
