Officers investigating a shoplifting and assault at a store in Alresford are appealing for witnesses.
At around 11.50am on Wednesday, 11 December, two people entered the Co-Op on West Street and stole a quantity of meat.
As they ran out of the store they knocked into a woman in her 80s, causing her to fall and hit her head.
She was taken to hospital for treatment.
As part of our appeal, we are issuing these CCTV stills to see if anyone can help us identify two people we wish to speak with as part of our investigation.
They are described as:
• A white man, aged around 40-years-old, roughly 6ft tall with a slim build, light hair and a gaunt complexion. He was wearing a black jacket, grey jogging bottoms, black shoes, and a black beanie hat with a white square logo. He was carrying a blue carrier bag.
• A white woman, also aged around 40-years-old, around 5ft with a proportionate build, and long blonde hair. She was wearing a beige coat with fur-lined hood, grey jogging bottoms, and black trainers. She also had glasses on her head and a yellow bag.
Do you recognise them? Perhaps you were in the store at the time and remember seeing something?
