We’re appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian was seriously injured in a collision in Eastleigh.
At around 11.30pm on Saturday 10 August a man in his 30s was struck by a Silver Ford Fiesta on Shakespeare Road. He was taken to Southampton General Hospital with serious head injuries.
The Ford did not remain at the scene. Police stopped the vehicle on Nutbeem Road and a 19-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, and drink driving.
He remains in custody at this time.
The road was closed for 11 hours following this incident but has since been re-opened.
We are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed this incident, and the events before and after it. Were you in the area, or driving through? Did you capture anything on Dash Cam?
