At approximately 10.40pm on Bank Holiday Monday (28 August), a man in his 50s was assaulted by a group of men in the beer garden of the John Jacques pub on Fratton Road.
The victim was punched, kicked and head-butted, causing swelling to his head. He was taken to hospital for treatment.
