We’re investigating a suspicious incident where a ten year-old girl was approached by a man she did not know in Cowes on Saturday evening.
We received a report on Monday 18 September that on Saturday (16 September) at some point between 5pm and 6pm the girl had been playing with friends on Fellows Road when she had been approached by a bald man who tried to grab her arm. The girl was not hurt and ran off. The man drove away in a black van towards Victoria Road.
Officers have been carrying our enquiries in the area and reviewing CCTV to establish what happened.
We have not received any other similar reports in the area.
