We are appealing for witnesses after a burglary at an auction house in Alton.
We received a report that just before 10:15pm on Monday 16 October, a window was smashed at Hannam’s Auctioneers on Selborne Road and two people made off in a blue car with a unique, high value statue.
The statue taken is described as being the Hawk On Stand Koro by Maruki, a Japanese bronze incense burner.
We have conducted a number of enquiries and are now asking you for any information that might assist with our investigation.
Have you seen an item matching this description since it was stolen? Maybe you have CCTV or dashcam footage from the area?
Anyone with information is asked to contact us on 101 with reference 44230424509. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
