We are appealing for witnesses following a serious single-vehicle collision this afternoon (Wednesday 1 March) on the A34 northbound.
We received reports shortly after 3.20pm that a car had left the carriageway just before the Sutton Scotney services.
The driver is currently being treated for serious injuries.
Officers investigating are keen to speak to anyone who was on the A34 and saw what happened. Maybe you have a dashcam that captured footage of the vehicle leaving the road or the moments leading up to the incident?
Anyone with information should call 101, quoting incident number 1356 of today’s date. Alternatively, go online and submit information via https://www.hampshire.police.uk/tua/tell-us-about/cor/tell-us-about-existing-case-report/
We remain at the scene.
The northbound carriageway is closed from the Three Maids junction and motorists are asked to avoid the area if possible.
