Officers investigating a serious assault in Farnborough yesterday evening (Friday 16 June) are appealing to the public for information.
We were called at 8pm to a report that a man had been located with serious injuries in Rectory Road Park.
Officers attended and a 20-year-old man was taken to hospital for surgery, where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
An investigation into the circumstances of this incident is underway and we remain in the area today conducting enquiries.
We would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time who we have not yet spoken to. Perhaps you saw what happened or the moments leading up to it? Maybe you saw something that you felt was suspicious? Or perhaps you were driving through the area and captured something on dash cam footage that may assist our investigation.
Anyone with information, no matter how small or insignificant it may seem, is asked to call 101 quoting reference 44230239666.
Alternatively, go online and submit information via https://www.hampshire.police.uk/tua/tell-us-about/cor/tell-us-about-existing-case-report/
