We’re appealing for witnesses and information after a man was seen in possession of a knife in Southampton yesterday (Friday 28 April).
It was reported that between 9.10am and 9.20am a man was seen chasing another man along Above Bar Street, close to the junction of Regent Street and Pound Tree Road whilst carrying a knife.
Officers attended and arrested a 40-year-old man from Southampton on suspicion of affray, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and receiving stolen goods. He remains in custody at this time.
We continue to investigate this incident and officers are keen to identify the man who was reported as being chased.
He was described as being white, aged between 40 to 50-years-old.
Was this you or someone you know?
Were you in the area at the time? Did you see anything? Perhaps you live in the area and have private CCTV?
If you were driving in the area at around this time, do you have dash-cam that might have captured something?
