We are appealing for witnesses, or anyone with information, following a road traffic incident yesterday morning (14 May) in North Baddesley.
The incident happened around 10.50am on the A27 Botley Road when a Toyota Corolla, believed to be silver or light blue, was involved in a collision with a cyclist. The rider of the bike was knocked off their bike and suffered minor injuries as a result.
Police are keen to speak to the driver of the vehicle after it was seen to stop beyond traffic lights on Rownhams Road, get out of the vehicle to check on the injured cyclist, and then made a decision to drive away from the scene without stopping.
The Toyota is likely to have sustained damage to the passenger side wing mirror, after leaving debris at the scene. If anyone has seen a vehicle matching the description with fresh damage, please contact police with details.
Did you see what happened? Were you in the area at the time? Perhaps you have dash-cam footage?
Anyone with information in relation to this incident which could aid our investigation is asked to call 101, quoting 44210185921.
