Summary of Conduct

It was alleged that DS Hedley had an inappropriate sexual relationship with a junior female officer.

It was alleged that DS Hedley has breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour in the strand of Discreditable Conduct, Honesty and Integrity (Integrity Only) and Orders and Instructions.

Outcome

Allegations were proven and amounted to misconduct, breaching the Standards of Professional Behaviour in regard to Orders and Instructions and Discreditable Conduct. The panel concluded the actions did not breach the standard of Honesty and Integrity.

Sanction

Written warning for 18 months.
