Summary of Conduct
On 22 September 2026, at Brighton Magistrates' Court, PC Tyler Atkins was convicted of assault by beating, following an incident in December 2025, while he was off-duty.
The behaviour that has resulted in this conviction is deemed to be a breach of the Standards of Professional Behaviour namely Discreditable Conduct.
It is assessed that these matters individually and collectively amount to gross misconduct, namely a breach of the Standards of Professional Behaviour that, if proved, is so serious that this officer’s dismissal would be justified.
