Coronavirus: police emergency volunteers
Message to retired officers and staff: offers of support during COVID-19 pandemic
During these unprecedented times of the COVID-19 pandemic, Hampshire Constabulary has been contacted by many recently retired officers and members of staff offering to return to work or volunteer.
We are extremely grateful for the support that has been offered so far, so thank you to everyone who has emailed, written and phoned.
Currently, we are consulting with all the departments across the force to understand our demand and consider the finer details of how we react to the ongoing challenges. Therefore, we are not yet ready to contact individuals and provide them with definite details of if, when or how we may be able to utilise their help.
The force is keen to hear specifically from any former officers, PCSOs, contact management centre officers/control room operators, detention officers or police staff investigators and would encourage them to get in touch with us.
Anyone who is willing to return to work or volunteer, please fill in your details by completing this survey.
In the interim, we are very happy to gather your details and we will be in touch once we have full details of return to work opportunities and conditions, or a need for volunteers.
