As part of a commitment to being even more open and transparent Hampshire Constabulary is sharing more information, in what we hope is a format that encourages better engagement on some of the key issues that impact confidence in policing.
The first area that we are taking this new approach with is Stop and Search, where we are sharing forcewide data and data for two of our districts (Gosport and Fareham).
Once we have feedback from independent sources that work with us, we will be publishing this information for all districts in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
The force also publishes a range of other information in response to Freedom of Information Requests, and on subjects such as misconduct. You can find links to some of these below

Previously published Stop and Search information (pre December 2020)
Following the kidnap, rape and murder of Sarah Everard in London, we have published a permanent policy for our male officers in order to start rebuilding trust with women and girls. We have been looking at how we can ensure the onus is on us to provide women with reassurance when they are approached by a lone male officer, and understand some women’s fears. We have ensured our officers are aware of what they need to do when stopping a lone female, or arresting a lone female and we have published the information here.
