CCTV images released following purse theft in Winchester

Police investigating the theft of a purse from a blind woman in Winchester have released CCTV images.

Officers were called following the theft, which happened on March 31, at around 3.40pm in the British Heart Foundation shop in High Street.

The 55-year-old woman, who is blind, had her purse stolen from her handbag while she was being distracted by another woman in the store.

The purse contained several bank cars.

Officers investigating the theft have issued CCTV images of two women they would like to speak to in relation to this incident.

They were in the shop at around the same time and may have information which could help with the investigation.
