Do you recognise these two people?

A man and a woman police would like to speak to in connection with this incident

We would like to speak to them after supermarket workers were assaulted in a racially aggravated incident in Chineham, Basingstoke.

It took place sometime between 2am and 3am on Tuesday 22 August at the Tesco supermarket in the Chineham Shopping Centre.

A man and a woman entered the store, took a bottle of vodka worth £38, and attempted to leave without paying.

A security guard and two members of staff approached the man and woman as they left the store.

The man, and another man who had joined them, then racially abused and assaulted the two members of staff.

All three people then left the scene.

The members of staff sustained bruising in the assault but were not seriously injured.

We have followed a number of lines of enquiry and we are now in a position to release a CCTV still image of a man and woman we would like to speak to about this incident.
