Appeal for witnesses following knifepoint robbery in Petersfield

We are appealing for witnesses after a man was robbed at knifepoint in Petersfield.

At around 9.20pm on Thursday 11 January, the 21-year-old victim was walking along Winchester Road, when he was approached by a man near to the alleyway that links to Queens Road.

The man, who was carrying a knife, demanded money from the victim.

Fearing for his safety, the victim handed over cash from his wallet, before the man fled the scene on foot down the alleyway where he met up with two other men.

One of the men has been described as white, aged in his late 20s and around 5ft 7ins tall. He was described as wearing a grey beanie hat, a light blue puffa coat, grey jogging bottoms, white trainers and blue tinted sunglasses.

A second man was described as white, aged in his early 20s, and around 5ft 9ins tall. He was described wearing a black beanie hat, a black bomber jacket, black jeans and black framed sunglasses.

A third man was described as white, aged in his early 20s, around 5ft 9ins tall, with short dark hair. He was described as wearing a black bomber jacket and dark sports trousers.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident, or saw three men matching the descriptions acting suspiciously in the area at this time.
