Witness appeal

We are appealing for witnesses to two incidents which took place in Farnborough on Tuesday (10 April).

It was reported that shortly before 7pm, a 16-year-old girl was approached by a man she did not know on Mayfield Road. The man inappropriately touched her over her clothing before leaving the area on foot.

He has been described as aged in his 20s, wearing all black clothing including black jeans and a black baseball cap.

Shortly after, a silver 4x4 pulled up alongside the victim and a rear passenger in the car asked her to get in. She did not get in the vehicle and ran home.

The passenger has been described as a black man, approximately 25 years-old, with short afro style hair, and wearing a dark grey hooded top and a black bomber jacket.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed either of these incidents.

Police Staff Investigator Michael Longmore said: “This took place in a busy residential area in the early evening.

“Were you walking or driving along Mayfield Road at this time? Did you see anyone matching the description of these two men, or a vehicle matching this description?”
