Appeal after teenage girl left with broken jaw following attack in Basingstoke

We’re appealing for anyone with information about an attack on a 17-year-old girl in Basingstoke to contact us.

The girl, from Newbury, was walking from Basingstoke train station to an address in Lychpit sometime between 4 and 4.30pm on Sunday, 10 September.

She walked along Swing Swang Lane and then along a path that connects to Lambs Row. It was there she was set upon by a group of three females said to be aged between 15 and 20. They ran off when they were disturbed.

They are all described as white and one was said to be about 5ft tall, of chubby build and wearing a black tracksuit with grey stripes down the arms and legs

The girl was left with a broken jaw and has since had to undergo surgery.
