WANTED: Cameron Welch, 26, from Southampton

Have you seen wanted man Cameron Welch?

The 26-year-old from Southampton in wanted in connection with an assault outside the Millers Pond pub on Middle Road on 29 May 2022.

We were called at about 10.15pm that day to reports of a fight involving several people outside the pub.

A man in his 20s was assaulted by three men, suffering a stab wound to his right leg.

Rees Thomas Welch, 30, of Staplehurst Close, Southampton, was charged with assault by beating and appeared at Southampton Magistrates Court on 4 October 2022 where he pleaded guilty. He was ordered to pay a £166 fine and £50 compensation.

A 20-year-old man from Southampton was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent but has been released under investigation.

We would now like to speak to Welch in connection with this investigation.

He is described as:

- Male
- About 5ft 9in tall
- Light brown hair

He is believed to still be in the Southampton area.
