Man, 59, jailed for 14 weeks after admitting public order offences in Blackwater

A man has been jailed for 14 weeks after pleading guilty to a number of public order offences in Blackwater.
Michael Allen, 59, from Yeomans Lane, Blackwater, was sentenced at Basingstoke Magistrates Court yesterday (27 November).
He pleaded guilty to two counts of using threatening / abusive / insulting words / behaviour to cause harassment / alarm / distress and one count of using threatening / abusive / insulting words / behaviour with intent to cause fear of / provoke unlawful violence.
Allen also admitted one count of threat to damage / destroy property.
It comes after officers received reports that two women and a man were threatened in Blackwater between 16 August and 13 September.
As well as being sentenced to 14 weeks in prison, Allen was also handed three restraining orders.
