A woman has been charged with shoplifting after she was arrested by officers who were carrying out a proactive patrol in Aldershot yesterday.
Officers from the Hart and Rushmoor Priority Crime Team spotted a woman leaving the Sainsbury’s store on Ash Road on Wednesday 5 March. The woman tried to run away, but was detained nearby.
Following a search, officers found a number of suspected stolen goods from the Sainsbury’s store and Iceland products from The Range on Ivy Road.
A woman was arrested at the scene and has now been charged.
Abbie Folkes, 32, of East Street, Farnham, has been charged with two counts from theft from a shop and breaching a criminal behaviour order.
She is due to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates Court today (6 March).
