Officers investigating an arson at an address in the Eastleigh area on Christmas Day have now charged in man in connection with the incident.
The charges follow a report of a fire at an address on Allbrook Knoll and a man allegedly sitting on the rooftop in possession of a knife at around 11pm on Wednesday 25 December 2024.
Thomas James Russell, 36, of Allbrook Knoll, Eastleigh has been charged with arson with recklessness as to whether life was endangered.
He is due to appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court today (Friday 3 January).
