A man has been arrested on suspicion of arson following recent reports of car fires in Basingstoke and Hook.
Officers launched an investigation after receiving reports that 14 vehicles had been set on fire in the west part of Basingstoke since Sunday 10 November.
We also received a report that a car had been set on fire on Memorial Road in Hook on 29 December.
Officers launched an investigation and carried out a number of enquiries, as well as extra patrols in the areas.
On Sunday 12 January, a 61-year-old man from Basingstoke was arrested on suspicion of 15 counts of arson.
He has been bailed with conditions, pending further enquiries.
