A man has been charged with attempted robbery following an incident in Basingstoke.
We were called to a report that a staff member at Betfred on London Street had been threatened by a man who demanded cash from the till on Monday 20 January. Nothing was stolen.
Officers carried out a number of enquiries and made an arrest on Thursday 23 January.
Richard Hiscock, 30, of Attwood Close, Basingstoke, has since been charged with attempted robbery.
He appeared at Southampton Magistrates Court on Saturday 25 January and was remanded into custody.
Hiscock is due to appear at Winchester Crown Court on Wednesday 26 February.
