Officers have made an arrest as part of an investigation into rural burglaries near Andover.
We were called on Friday 24 January to a report that power tools had been stolen from a container at Thruxton Aerodrome.
The theft is believed to have taken place sometime between 1am and 2am that day.
At 1.50pm on Friday 24 January, we received a report that a container in the Vernham Dean area had been broken into. Tools were stolen.
Officers have launched an investigation and the two incidents are being treated as linked.
A 70-year-old man from Burghfield Common in West Berkshire was arrested on suspicion of two counts of burglary dwelling – with intent to steal.
He has been released on police bail with conditions while we carry out further enquiries.
