A man has been charged after officers located suspected Class A drugs and £460 in cash following a proactive stop in Aldershot.
Officers were on patrol when they noticed suspicious activity linked to a black BMW on Halimote Road at 9pm on Saturday 8 February.
The vehicle stopped on Birchett Road and the driver exited the car and attempted to flee the scene.
Officers followed the man and arrested him nearby. They carried out a search and located 17 bags of suspected Class A drugs inside a sock and £460 in cash. All items were seized.
The BMW – which was not insured – was also seized.
Ahmet Ndreka, 39, of Nags Head Road, Enfield, has been charged with possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class A and acquiring / using / possessing criminal property.
He is due to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates Court today (10 February).
