Three men have been charged following reports of a robbery in Farnborough.
We were called at 1.54pm on Wednesday 18 September to a report that a container full of cigarettes was stolen from Tesco Express on Chapel Lane.
A staff member suffered a minor injury to her arm as a result of the incident. A group of men then fled the scene in a Renault Grand Scenic.
Officers were deployed to the area and carried out enquiries. The vehicle was then locate on Bridge Road, Farnborough, at around 10pm.
They searched an address on Cottage Gardens and arrested three men shortly after midnight. Two officers were assaulted during the arrest of one of the men.
Officers carried out an investigation and three men were charged last night.
Jamie Manson, 31, of Whittington Road, London, has been charged with robbery.
Thomas Willett, 18, of Miller Avenue, Enfield, has been charged with robbery and possession of a controlled drug of Class B.
They are both due to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates Court today (20 September).
Kane Pyrke, 22, of Cottage Gardens, Farnborough, has been charged with two counts of assault by beating of an emergency worker, criminal damage to property valued under £5,000 and possessing a controlled drug of Class B.
He has been bailed and is due to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates Court on 24 October.
