Two men have been arrested on suspicion of burglary in Basingstoke.
We were called at 12.31am today (14 October) to a report that an address on Solbys Road had been accessed. A wallet and bank cards have been reported stolen.
Officers attended the scene and stopped a Honda car nearby. Following a search of the vehicle, officers located gloves, torches and suspected Class A and Class B drugs.
Two men were arrested at the scene.
A 51-year-old man from Leatherhead and a 46-year-old man from Basingstoke have been arrested on suspicion of burglary dwelling – with intent to steal and possessing a controlled drug of Class A and Class B.
They remain in custody while our enquiries continue.
