Officers investigating reports of a serious assault in Southampton have since charged a man.
The charges come after reports of an altercation occurred between two men just before 5.30pm on Sunday 13 October on Kingsbury Road.
A man in his 30s is reported to have suffered life-threatening injuries.
As part of our enquiries, Steve Fitzgerald, 20, of Hazel Road Southampton has been arrested and subsequently charged with Section 18 – wounding with intent and possession of a Class B drug.
He appeared at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 15 October where he was further remanded in custody. Fitzgerald is due to next appear at Southampton Crown Court on Monday 11 November.
