A man has been charged in connection with a serious assault in Brighstone.
Police were called at 5.22pm on 24 March this year with reports that a man in his 20s had been slashed across the face with a knife.
The incident occurred outside of the Three Bishops pub.
Following enquiries, 54-year-old Jason Stevenson, of John Street in Ryde, has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent, and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
He was bailed with conditions and will appear at Isle of Wight Magistrates Court tomorrow (Tuesday 15 October).
