Officers have today launched an investigation following the discovery of a cannabis factory in Sherfield on Loddon.
We were called to the Rockbourne Road area at around 3.30am today (2 October) following reports of suspicious activity.
Officers attended the scene and spotted the driver of a Toyota RAV4 acting suspiciously.
Moments later, a collision took place involving the Toyota and two parked cars on Otterbourne Walk. A man made off from the scene.
As part of our enquiries, officers then searched a property on Rockbourne Road and located more than 100 cannabis plants in various stages of growth.
A 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in production of a controlled drug of Class B and abstracting / using electricity without authority.
He remains in custody while our enquiries continue.
Officers are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the suspicious activity which was reported in the early hours of this morning.
Were you in the area at the time? Do you have any CCTV images, doorbell or dascham footage that could help with our enquiries?
