We have charged a man in connection with Class A drugs supply in Southampton.
On Friday evening (15 November) at approximately 7pm, officers on proactive patrol in the Portswood area spotted suspected drugs-related activity on Lawn Road.
A man was detained and searched under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971. Suspected Class A drugs were found and the man was arrested. A subsequent search of a property linked to the man revealed a large quantity of Class A drugs and drug paraphernalia, which was seized by police.
Brian Hill, 55, of Lawn Road, has now been charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply a Class A drug. He has been remanded into custody to appear at Southampton Crown Court on Monday 16 December.
